Production drawings, planning permission and build cost

This stage of a Red Square commercial interior design project is undertaken after Commercial office concept design has been completed. During this phase the fixtures and fittings are sourced and full specification of products for procurement purposes are prepared.

This stage involves Red Square in design detailing and the production of specifications, working drawings, cost plan and programme schedule.

The preparation of detailed production drawings allows the agreed concept to be developed, so that major decisions on layout and materials can be defined prior to office design detailing being undertaken.

It is at this stage that Red Square would seek formal planning permission if required and communicate with the landlord and managing agent. This should be a straightforward process if pre-planning enquiries were undertaken during the Commercial office concept design stage.

The outline budget based on the specifications for materials, fittings and services are refined at this stage. This will include office furniture, carpets, fixtures and fittings.

Red Square develops meticulous production drawings for each of the commercial office interior design projects it handles. This helps ensure satisfactory completion of the scheme. For more information on this next stage go to Office design detailing.
