What is Construction management?

Red Square's construction management and build service for commercial premises combines high quality design and build, with professional implementation of services. We use tried and tested working practices that we know will lead to efficient project delivery.

We liase with contractors and specialist suppliers, making sure the new office interior is created on time, within budget and to the expected level of quality.

We have considerable experience of undertaking workplace interior design projects for corporate clients and follow a step-by-step approach that makes sure design aims are achieved and that no issue is overlooked.

We continuously monitor progress of the implementation and regularly report on progress. We have worked with companies across all industry sectors and find that good communication is an essential element of any workplace interior design project.

Construction management follows the Design detailing and Materials and products specification stages. This final phase is where the project aims are realised and we create the agreed solution for you in a timely and efficient manner.

Construction management may include the following functions:

  • Project management - includes project set-up implementation and control. During the project implementation we keep clients up-to-date through regular progress reports. We undertake the preparation and management of the programme, liase with the site manager, monitor workmanship, co-ordinate specialist suppliers, liase with utilities and arrange handover inspections
  • Design management - working with the implementation team to ensure design integrity. Revision of detail drawings, where necessary and provision of ongoing support
  • Quantity surveying - assist with materials and product procurement, carry out interim valuations as the works proceed, agree variations with yourself or your representative and prepare final accounts on completion of the works
  • Specialist suppliers and contractors - undertaking the appointment and management of specialist suppliers as necessary and provision of ongoing design control
  • Build services - providing our own build contracting team to implement your build.

We regularly visit sites to ensure design integrity throughout the project.
